I only knew snippets of their catalogue, Echo Beach, naturally, and a handful of their later dance hits. Thanks for the fantastic write-up and for introducing me to all this new music! 😁
I really love this album! The constant variance in sounds and tempo along with a unique new wave guitar that is immediately identifiable (to me, anyway) is always a great listen. I also see the Talking Heads comparison and love it! Lanois and Gane really created something special with this one.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Fun, I'd only heard Echo Beach before.
Much More used to to show "Black Stations White Stations" but yeah...radio only ever played "Echo Beach".
Another classic deep dive, just wonderful.
Thanks Jon!

They did! It's a hidden gem but seems like everyone who hears it falls in love with it.
I wasn't familiar with this band.
They're one of those bands that caught on everywhere except for the States.
