Thanks for the earworm and the reminder! Loved this song back in the day, and it resides in my memory next to "I'm an Adult Now" by the Pursuit of Happiness. Good times.

LOVE Dizz Knee Land and Dada! "Puzzle" was one of my favorite albums the year it came out. It's such a great collection of well-written songs. The production is solid and diverse. I also liked their follow-up, "American Highway Flower." It's too bad they got lost in the shuffle after that. Glad to know they are still touring!

I went into that piece only knowing "Dizz Knee Land" and went out wanting to hear more of their music.

They are my very favorite band ever!! I did a zoom guitar lesson with Michael Gurley… it was absolutely the best hour ever! Then saw him in Hampton at the Big Pink and introduced myself as he was walking upstairs during his break… said hello and that he remembered me. they are the most underrated band and they need more coverage so thank you for writing this about them.💜

Very cool, Mark.....another '90s band about whom I knew nothing! There are so many! Have to get the obvious irony out of the way....Nancy Kerrigan and Dizz KNEE Land co-existing on the same page! What? Too soon?😁Sports-wise, I can tell you that Disney would contract with (let's say American football) with the two teams' quarterbacks long before The Super Bowl. They'd get paid for the time, and there'd be an agreed-upon contract (for further compensation) should they/their team be the winner.

Close to the end of the game (or when walking off the field), each QB, then, would have their couple of seconds to be filmed yelling "I'm going to Disneyland!" The ad, itself, would have already been shot, with the only thing needed for the editors to do is simply splice in the (now-we-know) winning QB's take, and within an hour, the ad would be airing on network TV stations nationwide!

For ads where they used actual game footage, they didn't care as much about immediacy....but, it would certainly air as soon as game footage could be assembled and the QB's declaration added.....like so, for the very first one in '87: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8P-gDZmFnTQ

As for the Kerrigan ad, that, of course, is all taped either before or after any given tournament or exhibition (or whatever skaters do!). But, in the football, and some other examples, it was important for Disney to make it obvious that said QB was in-the-moment at end-of-game.

I only knew the "Puzzle" album, it lived in the art lab/classroom DVD player at my high-school.
